Fresa Foodie 🍓  documents the true origins & roots of staple foods in "Latin American" cuisine.

Through Fresa Foodie 🍓, we amplify the Black & Indigenous roots that are often not mentioned, ignored, or dismissed as a result of settler colonialism & its history in Latin America. We decolonize the narrative surrounding these staple foods to center their Black & Indigenous influences. We also provide our insightful reviews as Indigenous Food Critics on restaurants that serve "Latin American" food across the country.
**Staple foods are foods or dishes that are considered  traditional or significant to a country and/or culture.
Example: Horchata in Mexican Cuisine.

We are an online platform that discusses and focuses on the struggles indigenous womxn and LGBTQIA2S (from Mexico, Central & South America) go through as a result of patriarchy, queer antagonism, capitalism, settler colonialism and anti-indigenous racism. It is a platform that aims to uplift and amplify indigenous womxn's and LGBTQIA2S+ voices  by discussing everyday life and first hand experiences that all interconnect back to Mother Earth. .  🌎
