In our #Think7Generations series, we are sharing sustainable practices and questions that all interconnect back to our relationship with Mother Earth. These relationships might have adapted or decreased, due to our diasporic narratives—as displaced Indigenous peoples from our ancestral lands. This series allows us to reflect on our current positionalities and practices—that will have a lasting impact on our seven generations. We hope this series can highlight how our relationship with Mother Earth is crucial as Indigenous peoples—despite the ongoing displacement we are facing due to climate change. It is important we maintain these kinships, even while in diaspora as we hold the knowledge to continue our stewardship with our environments. Please visit our social media platforms to read responses & view other sustainable practices/questions/suggestions.
